Put in our new cable modem today, and after a slight hiccup it settled in fine. We are now upgraded from 50Mbit to 100Mbit internet service, which is noticeably spiffier. We no longer have to pay the $8/month to rent the Comcast cable modem, but we do have to pay the $5/month upgraded internet service fee, so it’s mostly a wash. At least Comcast had a page up showing which modems were compatible with the service, so we knew what our options were to buy. The Zoom was on sale so we picked it. …
