Today we snorkeled at Ahihi Bay, walking in over the lava rock to the tiny 20 – 30 foot patch of pebbly beach. We didn’t want to deal with the relatively crowded Waiala Cove and instead ranged out into the bay itself, which proved to be a great choice. While the reefs were deeper, they were really fishy and thriving, and we saw several notable sights– a large flounder, a green sea turtle (honu), and a big spotted moray free-swimming on the reef.
