Back from SoulFire early, the BurningMan region for Northern California. The South Bay Burner’s C.O.R.E. project this year is an iconic water tower from "The Valley of Heart’s Delight" (e.g., Silicon Valley before the orchards were paved over).
The painting on the outside of the water tower "barrel" staves is lovely, and really harkens back to the time of the 1930’s and 1940’s fruit and vegetable label heyday. The inside surface of the staves each have a placard with the name of the major cannery… |
