Job Description: You will be my assistant in a variety of locations, ranging from home to coffee shops to TechShops to Pick-n-Pull. Job duties will occupy 8 – 12 hours per week and range from CAD layout to wiki administration to web page creation to internet research to writing funding letters to Visio diagrams and 2nd Life Build+Scripts to starting seeds to soldering Arduino shields to Android or iPhone app dev, to stuff THAT HASN’T EVEN BEEN INVENTED YET. Because that’s one of the things WE DO. Yeah. Update: “Who has 8 – 12 hrs/week”, I hear you say?. OK, 8 – 12 hrs/month and you’ll get an embroidered patch and be one of our Irregulars. Let those hours creep up to 25 – 30/month and you’ll get your labcoat. OK, now you’re laughing, but actually I’m serious. I got a labcoat right here for ya if you work out. We have a LOT to do, no money to do it with, and we have to start somewhere. If we pull this off, we go down in history. If we don’t, millions of lives are at stake (in a nothing-to-do-with-explosives generational decline of quality of life kinda way, nothing to see here, move along, move along).
