Manuscript is in, on time. Not frozen, so still adding reviewer comments & misc, but bulk of work is in. w00000t!
Met cool folks at a technology event yesterday, also saw old friends who came along to local munch (waves, not sure if they LJ).
Much fun had this weekend. Much fun had last night, with new friend from local munch. Fun scheduled for this evening. Woot!
Found CD of cool tracks from a dance camp at BurnMan, where I grooved really intensely to the music. Gave the DJ's a little mod-70's lamp that I was carrying for just that reason, which made them vastly happy and they gave me a home-burn CD before I went off to dance some more. When I slowed down later and said hi to some 20-something burners, they showered me with adulation. “Wow, I can't believe you're talking to us! That's so cool! You just showed up out of nowhere and totally OWNED the dance floor”. Heh. I gave them chocolate chip cookies and hung for a little while. Not bad for somebody old enough to be their MOM. LOL.
Hokay, enough happy dance for the moment, off to prep for client site visit.
