We got email from the National Zoo, announcing the birth of a litter of Sumatran Tiger Cubs. They've set up a cub-cam, which is both wonderful and frustrating– if ever I've wished for a zoom lens!

Just watching now, and Mom came in, did some cub-washing, and laid down. One of the babies is nosing around the door in back, and you can see it as a dim fuzzy shape clambering around. At one point, a couple of the cubs were playing, and you could see little paws in the air against the white wall in back– squee!
Meanwhile Mom is lying down, and babies may be nursing. She's just washing her footsies and her face, looking like a giant version of my buddy Boo.
Edit: if you just can't stand the lack of mega-cuteness, here's the Cub Diary from May 2004, Soyono's second litter.
