I don't test as regularly as I 'should', and am trying to do better. Today I did both a fasting and a post-prandial (after eating) check. In fact, I did two p-p checks, since I was reading today that 2 hours is a more reliable reading than 1 hour. The former represents stabilized blood glucose, the latter is still volatile after eating.
Fasting: 124 (usually under 112, but I had 2 or 3 cookies last night!)
P-P 1 hr: 201 (desired: under 250)
P-P 2 hr: 144 (desired: under 150)
So, not horrific, but not exceptional either. Time for more exercise, whether I like it or not. Gardening will help, but I need to start walking and/or swimming again. The peripheral neuropathy means that long walks and treadmill excercise of extended duration have to approached carefully: when you can't feel yourself getting a blister, caution is indicated! Gave myself a pretty scary blister a couple of weeks ago from a sock wrinkle I couldn't feel, but it healed up fairly quickly.
