Bought fluffy purple flannel sheets tonight, yay. Will now have a set to swap out for laundry– it's too chilly at night to go back to plain percale-weave cotton, which are *cold* when you crawl into bed!
Minor peeve: LL Bean used to have really nice hefty flannel sheets, but I had to google to find 6 oz flannel; Bean is only using 5 – 5.4 depending on the sheet set. Bah! Would really like 8 oz but not willing to spend the money; that would be more like a blanket anyway. Still miss the brown flannel sheets that I got in 1986 and threw out in 1990 because they had bleach stains on them from idiot housemates spilling bleach around the washer. It's really *really* hard to find that quality of sheet nowadays, I should have kept them and tried overdyeing them. Double bah.
