Women's Game Night, Monday Aug 22, 7pm – 10pm
August 21, 2005 by srchalup
If you need directions, email me (strata@virtual.net).
House rules:
No guys
No kids (it's a ladies' relax-a-nite)
If you want to bring someone else, please ask first.
Bring any games you want to bring, but none required.
Bring any goodies you want to bring, but none required.
Two cats in residence. Sometimes we vacuum. Other times we rake. Ya know?
I'll need to make firm shoo-ing motions at 10pm, and move any straggling into the livingroom so Mike can get to sleep in the back of the house.
We're not sure yet what our 'regular' monthly meeting night is yet, so folks who show up will debate it and pick something (nth weekday kind of thing).
Games I have (and feel free to bring duplicates, since some of them kind of top out at 4 players and folks may want to start another table of the same game):
Give Me the Brain: zombie fastfood restaurant workers try to finish their jobs and go home; problem is some jobs require a brain and there's only ONE in the shop!
Gloom: kind of 'lemony snicket meets the gashlycrumb tinies'; put your horrible misfit family out of their misery (but slooowly!) while playing happy event cards on your opponents' families.
Linx: domino-chain type game with colorful number+symbol cards, match either to add to the chain
Guillotine: you are rival headchoppers during the French Revolution, vying for points; each 'day' 12 hapless folks (worth various points) line up, and you collect one during your turn; hey, no fair messing with the order of the line using those Special Cards!
SPANC (Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls): I mean, c'mon, does this really need to be explained? Assemble a crew from the Crew cards, choose a crew member to surmount each of 4 Challenge cards, and collect Toys or Loot when you vanquish a challenge. Oh, and if two or more crews get to the end of all 4 challenges, they can have a Catfight about it. Did I mention that Poolboys count as both Toys *and* Loot for scoring?
Carcassonne Hunters & Gatherers: idyllic pastoral splendor, everybody gets points (ok, you can outnumber someone and collect all the points), no fighting, and the tiles are *really* pretty; 'kay, /me is a sucker for this kinda thing, *and* I like Jean Auel for cotton braincandy (but I skip the sex n geology and just like the animals and herbology, go figger)
Apples to Apples expansion set
Dominoes
