Jardin Fini
golden & chiogga beets separated (laboriously!) from flat, planted, now happy
most tomatoes in dirt (2 potted, rest planted)
most squash in dirt
jalapenos planted, languishing in six-pack, now set out with floating row cover
floating row cover over other delicate stuff
carrots sown in ground
italian heirloom pole beans (from M & L) and yellow bush beans soaked and sown in ground
sugar peas, mediterranean cukes, lettuce, and lemon basil sown in rock wool (will plant in dirt probably)
vast quantities of compost tilled into beds
soaker hose 1 laid into beds
about half of the flowers transplanted at bed-ends
roses and hanging planters got compost dressing and/or compost tea
about half the paths mulched with bark
Jarden nes pas Fini
plant herbs doing poorly in 3-inch pots
add 2nd soaker hose, hook up all to tap & timer
transplant or dirt-plant peppers (tulip, marconi red, tequila sunrise, anaheim, hatch big jim)
install row edging and rerake the Sunny Bed
assemble garden arch kit and install at grape vine
bark mulch run to Sunnyvale SMaRT center
finish mulching paths
finish planting annuals at bed-ends
plant asiatic lily bulbs
stake the back of the 2 middle beds
string-train the 2 tomatoes and 2 squash in the middle beds
sow a bunch more stuff…gah…chioggas, sunflowers, soybeans (edamame!), start melons (rotsa ruck! last year tanked out), more basil, cilantro
mulch beds with compost– soil drying out most evilly
get courage up to examine bag of potatoes in closet– worth planting? or scarier?
