Here's another reminder, and I need to send email out Real Soon, that we're having our traditional Yuri's Night party. Celebrate humanity's first orbit around our home planet, listen to space music, enjoy munching various things, and geeking out with friends.
Since this is midweek, alas, we'll go only from 7pm til 11pm, and will start making shoo'ing noises around 10:30pm.
If you have something you think should be added to the music mix, send me a copy or an URL. I don't want to spend all night fiddling with the tunes, so I'm going to load everything into one big iTunes mix and leave it the heck alone. š I welcome everything from Holst's Planets to Wendy Carlos' Digital Moonscapes to Bowie's Space Oddity to Peter Schilling's reprise Major Tom. There's one exception– aside from a couple of gems like The Witnesses Waltz and Fire in the Sky, no filk, please, unless it's about *real* space exploration, rather than fictional.
