This weekend we did house chores in the daytime, and took one night off to relax. Last night I cleared the patio from under all the gardening debris that Mike unloaded from the old place (pots, hydroponic containers, stakes, etc).
My garden STILL is not really started, and I have pea vines that have been in a flat for a month now. 😦 I feel completely lousy and overwhelmed about it all, and can't do anything about it. Gotta help my client do their site move this week and all this coming weekend.
Hmm, record-keeping is good. I just checked last year's garden page and found that while I was starting peas in early Feb, things didn't really take off and start growing until early April. So if I can just get clear of all the moves– RV move (done), storage unit move (furniture, gah), and client site move (spitting into the hurricane, but we do what we can), maybe I can get my frickin' garden going. I think it's going to be all-dirt, no hydroponics this year, since I have all that lovely dirt now. If only I'd known!
Oh yah, and I have harvested *something*, I had some volunteer lettuce and a winter tomato in a salad last month, and I picked the big volunteer lettuce when we closed out the RV site in San Jose. Other lettuces are growing madly in the grapevine planter, where last summer's lettuce went to seed. But still…must relax. Shouldn't be such a big deal. But, of course, it is.
