Some commentary in a friend’s journal made me wonder how seriously folks are taking this crush meme thang.
Interpretations seem to range from “I admire you” to “I think yer cool” to “I feel romantic love for you” to “I wanna jump yer bones”, on either the originating or the receiving end of the crush. That’s a pretty significant range!
If this is a signaling system, it’s needs some work on the implementation spec. Maybe we should go back to the original Green Eggs n Ham crush quiz: “Would you, could you, in a box? Would you, could you, with a fox? ”
How about a collection of GEnH-style couplets about folks on our friends lists? That seems entertaining all on its own…and no, we’re not turning it into a poll. 🙂 Of course, subtle details of pronunciation could cause trouble…
